Gethin Mathew vs Chris Hire

Boxing Daily Report from the StarBoyLucas promoted show at New York City Johns, New York City,  taking place on 06/05/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid Atlantic Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gethin Mathew (5 - 2) who hails from Bridgeport, USA and Chris Hire(14 - 10(1) - 1) from New York City, USA.  Both Mathew and Hire weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sagaz Blas, and the three ringside judges are Robert Voils, Andy Swavely and Joseph Maready.  

Round 1: 

Mathew closes the distance and drives a firm right hook into Hire's ribcage.  Mathew clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mathew pushes his forearm into Hire's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Mathew about fouling.
