Chris Rice vs Robert Thain

Boxing Daily Report from the Eddie Burns promoted show at Crowne Plaza Hotel, San Diego,  taking place on 10/05/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Pacific Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Rice (35 - 20(12) - 2) who hails from North Las Vegas, USA and Robert Thain(33(15) - 9(3) - 1) from Oceanside, USA.  Both Rice and Thain weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Josh Butchart, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Hardie, Paul Ross and Billy Gracie.  

Round 1: 

Thain advances into close range.  Rice lands two left hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Rice lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Thain attempts to land a cross, but Rice slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Rice pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.
