Phillippe Carol vs Holland Piat

Boxing Daily Report from the Ferry Boxing promoted show at Warehouse Nantes, Nantes,  taking place on 17/06/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the France-Pays de la Loire Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Phillippe Le Singer Carol (13(9) - 1) who hails from Nantes, France and Holland Piat(4 - 24(2) - 5) from Le Mans, France.  Both Carol and Piat weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Senior Blanco, and the three ringside judges are Labaron Pierre-Louis, Senior Blanco and Orville Cassel.  

Round 1: 

Carol advances into close range and digs in a right uppercut to Piat's body.  Carol holds on to his opponent.  Carol leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Piat throws a right hook, but Carol clinches his opponent.  Carol pushes his forearm into Piat's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Carol about fouling.  
Carol gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut.  Carol holds on to his opponent.  Carol leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Piat tries to step out of his opponents range.  Carol hits home with a sharp jab.  
Carol closes the distance.  Carol sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Carol is on target with a right uppercut.  Carol attempts to land a cross, but Piat slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Carol gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Carol is on target with a cross.  
Carol pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carol gets on the inside and forces Piat to retreat into the corner.  Carol lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Carol lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Carol lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Carol lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Carol connects with a firm left hook.

Carol lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Carol lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Carol pivots to the left of his opponent.  Carol is on target with a sharp cross.  Carol throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Carol lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Carol advances into close range and walks his opponent into the corner.  Carol is on target with a left uppercut.  
Carol lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Piat recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Carol lands a right uppercut.  Carol ties up his opponent.  Carol is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Carol's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Carol closes the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
Piat attempts to land a cross, but Carol slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Carol sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Carol lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Carol lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Piat's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Piat's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Piat's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Carol is on target with a firm left uppercut to Piat's ribs.  
Carol lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Carol ties up his opponent.  Carol leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Piat almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Carol lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Piat quickly recovers. 
Carol lands a solid right uppercut.  
Carol is on target with a stinging left hook.  Carol ties up his opponent.  Piat throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Piat about fouling.  
Piat throws a left hook, but Carol holds on to his opponent.  Carol is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carol steps to the outside and lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Piat throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Carol pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Carol gets on the inside and SLAMS a mean left hook into his opponents face.  PIAT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Piat steps away from his opponent.  Carol knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Carol lands a cross, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES PIAT!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Carol!
