Bart Buick vs Paul Byer

Boxing Daily Report from the Knoetze Promotions promoted show at Perth Mowat, Perth,  taking place on 14/06/2044:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Western Australia Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bart Buick (5 - 4) who hails from Perth, Australia and Paul Byer(7 - 5(1) - 1) from Perth, Australia.  Buick weighed in at 112 pounds, while Byer weighed in at 111 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Barry Rease, and the three ringside judges are Cody Trail, Ben Banis and Noel Berwick.  

Round 1: 

Buick is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Byer wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Buick has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
