Vicente Diez vs Carlos Alpizar

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Guatemala-Guatemala promoted show at Ora Dieguez Gym, Guatemala City,  taking place on 16/06/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Guatemala Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on El Súper Canal, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vicente Diez (6(2) - 0) who hails from Guatemala City, Guatemala and Carlos Alpizar(2 - 20(1) - 6) from Guatemala City, Guatemala.  Both Diez and Alpizar weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Orlando Canada, and the three ringside judges are Alvino Miranda, Zacarias Riso and Jose Baile.  

Round 1: 

Diez steps away from his opponent and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Alpizar recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Diez feints a left, and then connects with a cross.  
Diez switches the action to the outside and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Alpizar sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Diez drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Diez lands with a stinging jab.

Diez lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS ALPIZAR DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Alpizar quickly recovers.

Alpizar stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Diez throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.
