Stuart Bryars vs Shaun Beattie

Boxing Daily Report from the Skol Promotions promoted show at Auckland Martie, Auckland,  taking place on 30/06/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Stuart Bryars (8 - 6(2) - 4) who hails from North Shore, New Zealand and Shaun Beattie(1 - 2) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Bryars weighed in at 122 pounds And 11 ounces, while Beattie weighed in at 122 pounds.    As Bryars came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Brin Stackpole, and the three ringside judges are Euan White, Max Weatherspoon and Morgan Cleghorn.  

Round 1: 

Beattie lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Beattie lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Beattie digs in a stinging left hook to Bryars's ribs.  
Beattie steps inside and forces Bryars to retreat into the blue corner.  Beattie lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Beattie is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Bryars almost instantly recovers. 
Beattie lands a firm left hook.  
Beattie hits home with a right hook.  
Beattie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bryars gets on the inside.  Beattie lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Bryars hits home with a cross.  
Bryars advances into close range.  Beattie lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Beattie clinches his opponent.  Beattie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bryars is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Beattie crashes a nasty left uppercut to Bryars's body.  BRYARS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Beattie clinches his opponent.  Beattie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Beattie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Beattie lands a left hook.  
Beattie advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bryars's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Bryars's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Bryars's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

The referee warns Beattie and breaks the clinch.  Beattie throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Beattie closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Beattie gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Beattie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Beattie lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Beattie tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Beattie lands a firm left hook.  
Beattie crashes a mean left hook to Bryars's body.  BRYARS IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Beattie steps inside and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Beattie connects with a left hook.

Beattie attempts to land a right hook, but Bryars blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Beattie's body.  
Bryars hits home with a left hook.  
Beattie connects with a left uppercut.  
Beattie lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Beattie walks Bryars down, trapping him on the ropes.  Beattie is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.
