Joe Peedin vs Charles Conant

Boxing Daily Report from the Sijabala Promotions promoted show at Clint Ducat Gym, Montgomery,  taking place on 03/07/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Alabama Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Peedin (9(2) - 5(1) - 1) who hails from Huntsville, USA and Charles Conant(17 - 14(1) - 4) from Montgomery, USA.  Both Peedin and Conant weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenzie Lovett, and the three ringside judges are Stephen Glasford, Owen Belliston and Brad Temple.  

Round 1: 

Conant is looking to close the distance.  Conant pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Conant lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Conant ties up his opponent.  Conant pushes his forearm into Peedin's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Conant about fouling.
