Paul Scroggin vs Justin Doughty

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Mohegan Sun Arena, New Haven,  taking place on 06/08/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Paul Scroggin (18(14) - 0) who hails from Saint Paul, USA and Justin Doughty(31(23) - 17(16)) from Peoria, USA.  Scroggin weighed in at 229 pounds and 10 ounces, while Doughty weighed in at 246 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paul Muncie, and the three ringside judges are John Hilton, Ian Cragg and Dale Carse.  

Round 1: 

Scroggin attempts to land a jab, but Doughty sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Doughty tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Scroggin steps inside.  Doughty hits home with a left uppercut.  
Scroggin hits home with a left hook.  
Doughty tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Scroggin closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Doughty blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Doughty quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Doughty attempts to land a jab, but Scroggin sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Scroggin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Doughty lands a cross.  
Scroggin connects with a sharp cross.  
Scroggin advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Doughty attempts to land a right hook, but Scroggin blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Doughty pivots to the left of his opponent.  Doughty finds the target with a sharp jab.  Doughty throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Scroggin is looking to close the distance.  Doughty throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid right hook to Doughty's ribcage.  
Scroggin steps inside.  Doughty sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Scroggin lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Scroggin closes the distance.  Doughty attempts to land a left uppercut, but Scroggin slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Scroggin steps inside.  Doughty throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Scroggin lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS DOUGHTY!  He manages to get up at 4.  Doughty quickly recovers. 
Scroggin walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Scroggin crashes a spiteful left hook to Doughty's ribs.  DOUGHTY WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Scroggin is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Scroggin lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body, KNOCKING DOUGHTY DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Doughty has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Scroggin drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  Scroggin attempts to land a right hook, but Doughty blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Doughty attempts to land a left hook, but Scroggin sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Doughty lands a jab to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a jab to the body.  
Scroggin advances into close range and is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Scroggin forces Doughty to back into the corner.  Scroggin digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Scroggin is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Doughty's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Scroggin lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Scroggin lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES DOUGHTY!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Doughty recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Scroggin lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Doughty throws a right hook, but Scroggin ties up his opponent.  Scroggin pushes his forearm into Doughty's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Scroggin to stop fouling.  
Scroggin lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING DOUGHTY TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Scroggin!
