Dai Ednie vs Michael Proudfoot

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Mohegan Sun Arena, New Haven,  taking place on 06/08/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dai Ednie (18(16) - 0) who hails from Quebec City, Canada and Michael Proudfoot(0 - 0) from Little Rock, USA.  Both Ednie and Proudfoot weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Cragg, and the three ringside judges are John Hilton, Paul Muncie and Dale Carse.  

Round 1: 

Ednie is looking to close the distance and whips in a nasty left uppercut to Proudfoot's ribs.  PROUDFOOT IS HURT!  Ednie holds on to his opponent.  Ednie pushes his forearm into Proudfoot's face.  The ref breaks Ednie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ednie is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Ednie lands a right hook followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND PROUDFOOT IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Proudfoot has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Ednie is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ednie throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Ednie clinches his opponent.  Ednie is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ednie about fouling.  
Proudfoot throws a right hook, but Ednie clinches his opponent.  Ednie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Ednie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Ednie digs in a firm left uppercut to Proudfoot's body.  
Ednie digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  Ednie clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Proudfoot throws a right hook, but Ednie holds on to his opponent.  Proudfoot pushes his forearm into Ednie's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Proudfoot about fouling.  
Ednie is on target with a FIERCE right hook.  PROUDFOOT IS HURT!  Ednie holds on to his opponent.  Ednie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Proudfoot quickly recovers. 
Ednie gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Proudfoot almost instantly recovers. 
Ednie drives a firm left hook into Proudfoot's body.  Ednie ties up his opponent.  Ednie leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Ednie digs in a stinging left hook to Proudfoot's body.  
Ednie walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Ednie lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ednie drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Ednie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ednie lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Ednie digs in a solid left hook to Proudfoot's body.  Ednie throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ednie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS PROUDFOOT TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 9.  
Ednie lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ednie connects with a cross.  
Ednie lands two straights followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Proudfoot advances into close range.  Ednie lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Ednie lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Proudfoot recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ednie steps inside and drives a sharp right hook into Proudfoot's body.  
Ednie lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Proudfoot almost instantly recovers. 
Ednie lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ednie hits home with a cross.  
Ednie closes the distance.  Proudfoot is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Ednie holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Ednie pushes his forearm into Proudfoot's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Ednie.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Proudfoot's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Proudfoot's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Ednie pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Ednie forces Proudfoot to back into the corner.  Ednie sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Proudfoot's liver.  
Ednie lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Proudfoot advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but Ednie sidesteps and counters with a stinging right hook to Proudfoot's body.  
Ednie drives a left hook into Proudfoot's body.  
Ednie is on target with a cross.  
Ednie closes the distance.  Ednie pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND PROUDFOOT IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  Proudfoot almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Ednie lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Ednie closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Ednie knows Proudfoot is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Ednie lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS PROUDFOOT DOWN!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Ednie!
