Mark Baird vs Otilio Schermer

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at RheinEnergieStadium, Cologne,  taking place on 16/07/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Western Europe Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sport Deutschland, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Magic Mark Baird (26(16) - 0) who hails from Reading, UK and Otilio Schermer(35(17) - 6(1) - 1) from Regensburg, Germany.  Baird weighed in at 174 pounds and 15 ounces, while Schermer weighed in at 174 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Andreas Strebe, and the three ringside judges are Rambert Kruis, Lambert Henzel and Lotharing Pfeiffer.
