Elderson Amike vs John Akinjide

Boxing Daily Report from the Ofosu-Ayeh Promotions promoted show at Ofosu-Ayeh Gym, Kano,  taking place on 16/07/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Elderson Amike (16(1) - 2) who hails from Kano, Nigeria and John Akinjide(35(2) - 9(2)) from Benin City, Nigeria.  Amike weighed in at 200 pounds and 9 ounces, while Akinjide weighed in at 199 pounds and 4 ounces.    As Amike came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Emem Ekpeyong, and the three ringside judges are Rehan Pasha, Chinedu Shekari and Nathaniel Abiola.
