Nao Suzuki vs Kazuhiko Shirai

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Tokyo Dome, Tokyo,  taking place on 23/07/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WOWOW, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Nao Suzuki (37(27) - 10(9)) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Kazuhiko Gōruden Shirai(31(21) - 16(8)) from Tokyo, Japan.  Suzuki weighed in at 147 pounds, while Shirai weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Takeo Kibe, and the three ringside judges are Isamu Kuno, Akira Kishimoto and Kazuhiko Furukawa.
