Wayne Darmian vs Irfan Haque

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Australia-South Australia promoted show at Adelaide Giunti, Adelaide,  taking place on 17/07/2044:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-South Australia Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Wayne Darmian (10(3) - 1) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Irfan Haque(4 - 7(2) - 2) from Adelaide, Australia.  Both Darmian and Haque weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Roger Milton, and the three ringside judges are Kian Pugh, Joel Boward and Jay Keller.  

Round 1: 

Darmian steps inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.

Darmian lands a right uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Haque recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Darmian waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Haque tries to land a jab, but Darmian sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook to Haque's ribs.

Darmian advances into close range and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Darmian lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a jab to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Haque almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Darmian lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Darmian is on target with a stinging left hook to Haque's liver.

Darmian is on target with a right hook to Haque's body.  Darmian clinches his opponent.  Darmian leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Haque sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Haque closes the distance.  Darmian quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Darmian connects with a firm left hook.  
Haque pivots to the right of his opponent.  Darmian lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Darmian closes the distance and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Darmian is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to Haque's body.  
Darmian walks Haque down, trapping him in the corner.  Darmian lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Darmian holds on to his opponent.  Darmian tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Haque behind the head. The ref breaks Darmian's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Darmian quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Darmian closes the distance.  Darmian sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Haque's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Haque's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Haque's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Darmian steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND HAQUE IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Haque quickly recovers. 
Haque throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Haque's body.  
Darmian attempts to land a left hook, but Haque blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Darmian lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Darmian thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Haque away.  Darmian is on target with a nasty right hook.  HAQUE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Darmian!
