Angel Cavazos vs Ricardo Gallardo

Boxing Daily Report from the Monare Promotions promoted show at Gimnasio Alexis Arguello, Managua,  taking place on 08/08/2044:

Clearly Monare Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Angel Cavazos (20(17) - 1) who hails from Leon, Nicaragua and Ricardo Gallardo(1 - 0) from Leon, Nicaragua.  Cavazos weighed in at 112 pounds, while Gallardo weighed in at 111 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Zacarias Balan, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Zorrilla, Zacarias Leyba and Gabriel Morejon.  

Round 1: 

Cavazos steps inside.  Cavazos pivots to the left of his opponent.  Gallardo throws a left hook, but Cavazos ties up his opponent.  Cavazos pushes his forearm into Gallardo's face.  The referee warns Cavazos and breaks the clinch.  
Cavazos steps inside and is on target with a left hook to Gallardo's body.  Cavazos clinches his opponent.  Cavazos tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gallardo's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cavazos to stop fouling.  
Cavazos lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Cavazos ties up his opponent.  Cavazos leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Cavazos's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gallardo throws a right hook, but Cavazos ties up his opponent.  Cavazos leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Cavazos pushes his forearm into Gallardo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cavazos to stop fouling.  
Cavazos gets on the inside and digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Cavazos digs in a stinging right uppercut to Gallardo's body.  Cavazos clinches his opponent.  Cavazos leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Cavazos pushes his forearm into Gallardo's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cavazos to stop fouling.  
Cavazos advances into close range and crashes a nasty right hook to Gallardo's ribcage.  GALLARDO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Gallardo almost instantly recovers. 
Cavazos digs in a sharp left uppercut to Gallardo's body.  
Cavazos lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Gallardo almost instantly recovers. 
Cavazos lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cavazos cuts off the ring, trapping Gallardo in a corner.  Cavazos lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Cavazos drives a right hook into Gallardo's ribs.  
Cavazos lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Cavazos senses Gallardo is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Cavazos is on target with a weighty right hook to Gallardo's ribcage.  GALLARDO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Cavazos digs in a powerful left hook to his opponents ribs.  DOWN GOES GALLARDO!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Gallardo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Cavazos sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cavazos lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Cavazos ties up his opponent.  Cavazos leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cavazos whips in a hurtful left hook to his opponents body.  GALLARDO IS HURT!  Gallardo quickly recovers. 
Cavazos lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cavazos lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gallardo's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Gallardo's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Gallardo's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
