Yves St. Pierre vs Paul Bedwei

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Western Ghana promoted show at Takoradi Quansah, Takoradi,  taking place on 10/08/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Western African Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on bTV Action, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Yves St. Pierre (9 - 11(2) - 1) who hails from Abidjan, Ivory Coast and Paul Bedwei(29(20) - 7(7)) from Takoradi, Ghana.  St. Pierre weighed in at 111 pounds and 12 ounces, while Bedwei weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vashon Inkoom, and the three ringside judges are Ibeamaka Akamba, Richard Ofosu-Ayeh and Richard Ofosu-Ayeh.  

Round 1: 

St. Pierre throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Bedwei lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bedwei lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Bedwei lands a ramrod jab.  
Bedwei pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Bedwei walks St. Pierre down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  St. Pierre attempts to land a right hook, but Bedwei blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Bedwei pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Bedwei switches the action to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Bedwei is looking to close the distance.  St. Pierre could be stopped here, if Bedwei can find the right shot!  Bedwei SLAMS a HUGE left hook into his opponents face.  ST. PIERRE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 8.  St. Pierre now seems to have got his legs back.  
Bedwei pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Bedwei digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.  Bedwei holds on to his opponent.  Bedwei tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits St. Pierre behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Bedwei about fouling.  
Bedwei pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bedwei lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
St. Pierre tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to St. Pierre's body.  
Bedwei lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Bedwei steps inside and whips in a big left hook to his opponents body.  ST. PIERRE IS HURT!  Bedwei clinches his opponent.  Bedwei leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  St. Pierre quickly recovers. 
Bedwei lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Bedwei throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Bedwei ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Bedwei pushes his forearm into St. Pierre's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bedwei.  
Bedwei closes the distance.  Bedwei pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Bedwei lands a sharp cross.  Bedwei attempts to land a left hook, but St. Pierre sidesteps and counters with a cross.

St. Pierre is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land an overhand right, but Bedwei slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.

Bedwei is looking to close the distance.  Bedwei sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.

Bedwei pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Bedwei is on target with a sharp left hook to St. Pierre's ribs.  
St. Pierre throws a left hook, but Bedwei ties up his opponent.  Bedwei uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on St. Pierre's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bedwei gets on the inside and walks St. Pierre into a corner.  Bedwei sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Bedwei lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Bedwei clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  St. Pierre recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
