Arran Risk vs Robert Shanks

Boxing Daily Report from the Jay promoted show at Nassau Harrier, Nassau,  taking place on 14/08/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Bahamas Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ZNS, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Arran Risk (36(33) - 2(2)) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Robert Shanks(11 - 9(3) - 1) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Both Risk and Shanks weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lucas Twaddell, and the three ringside judges are Dominic Cockburn, John Brown and Daniel Jones.  

Round 1: 

Risk lands a right hook.  
Risk tries to step out of his opponents range.  Shanks feints a left, and then attempts to land a jab, but Risk sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Shanks gets on the inside.  Risk throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Risk clinches his opponent.  Risk pushes his forearm into Shanks's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Risk about fouling.  
Risk tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Shanks closes the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Risk is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Risk lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Risk lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Risk clinches his opponent.  Shanks is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Shanks pivots to the right of his opponent.  Shanks attempts to land a left uppercut, but Risk dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Risk tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.

Risk lands a straight 1 - 2, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Shanks recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Shanks forces Risk to back into the ropes.  Shanks pivots from in front of his opponent.  Shanks is on target with a right hook.  Risk holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Shanks pushes his forearm into Risk's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Shanks about fouling.

Shanks steps inside.  Shanks pivots from in front of his opponent.  Risk lands a spiteful left hook.  SHANKS IS HURT!  Risk holds on to his opponent.  Shanks hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee warns Shanks and breaks the clinch.  Shanks quickly recovers. 
Shanks throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Risk time to recover.  
Risk is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a cross.  
Shanks gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Risk ties up his opponent.  Risk pushes his forearm into Shanks's face.  The referee warns Risk and breaks the clinch.  
Risk switches the action to the outside and tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Risk lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Risk quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Risk attempts to land a jab, but Shanks slips the shot and counters with a cross.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Risk's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Shanks's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Shanks's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.
