Zenon Gordon vs Jay Lagbas

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Imperial Palace Hotel, Quezon City,  taking place on 18/08/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Philippines Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Zenon Gordon (15 - 9(3) - 5) who hails from Caloocan, Philippines and Jay Lagbas(7(2) - 0) from Taguig, Philippines.  Both Gordon and Lagbas weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lloyd Manilag, and the three ringside judges are Davie Yago, Pedro Ante and Guillermo Panaligan.  

Round 1: 

Lagbas is on target with a right hook.  
Lagbas lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.

Gordon gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Gordon attempts to land a right hook, but Lagbas sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Lagbas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gordon lands a left hook.  
Lagbas manages to force Gordon into a neutral corner.  Lagbas lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Lagbas is looking to close the distance.  Gordon throws a right hook, but Lagbas ties up his opponent.  Lagbas tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Gordon behind the head. Lagbas throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Lagbas switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a sharp jab.

Lagbas lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Lagbas ties up his opponent.  Lagbas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Lagbas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
