Salim Labi vs Morgan Tinkler

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Caesars Palace Pavilion, Las Vegas,  taking place on 27/08/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESPN, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Salim Labi (12(10) - 0) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Morgan Tinkler(38(2) - 10(5) - 4) from Oklahoma City, USA.  Both Labi and Tinkler weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ellis Slight, and the three ringside judges are Ollie Latta, Amon Gibson and Ellis Slight.  

Round 1: 

Labi gets on the inside.  Tinkler sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Tinkler tries to land a right hook, but Labi sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Tinkler lands a cross.  
Tinkler tries to keep the action at long range.  Labi lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Tinkler is on target with a left hook to Labi's liver.  
Labi closes the distance.  Tinkler sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Labi digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Labi lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Labi advances into close range.  Labi pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Labi leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Tinkler is whaling away with hooks, but Labi keeps his defence tight.  
Labi lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tinkler lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Labi attempts to land a right hook, but Tinkler blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Labi lands a stinging right hook.  
Labi lands a solid jab.  
Tinkler tries to step out of his opponents range.  Labi drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Labi steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Labi is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Labi lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Labi is looking to close the distance.  Tinkler drives a right hook into Labi's body.  
Labi lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Labi ties up his opponent.  Labi pushes his forearm into Tinkler's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Tinkler almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Labi steps inside.  Tinkler attempts to land a right hook, but Labi parries the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Labi lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Labi closes the distance.  Tinkler quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Labi tries to land a left hook, but Tinkler blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Labi lands a sharp jab.  
Labi lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Tinkler is on target with a solid cross.  
Labi lands a jab to the head, a right hook to the body and a jab to the head.  
Tinkler switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand left.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Tinkler's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Tinkler's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Tinkler lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Tinkler is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Labi is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
Tinkler digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Labi strikes his opponents body with a jab.  Labi attempts to land a jab, but Tinkler slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Tinkler connects with a left uppercut.  
Labi is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Tinkler almost instantly recovers. 
Tinkler is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Labi lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Labi tries to land a left hook, but Tinkler slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Labi throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Labi lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Labi closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Tinkler could be stopped here, if Labi can find the right shot!  Labi lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head, KNOCKING TINKLER DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Tinkler now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Labi lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Tinkler quickly recovers. 
Labi throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Labi advances into close range and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Labi lands a jab.  
Labi closes the distance.  Tinkler digs in a right hook to Labi's body.  
Labi lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Tinkler attempts to land a cross, but Labi slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Labi advances into close range.  Tinkler lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Labi ties up his opponent.  Labi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Labi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Labi gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Tinkler recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Tinkler quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tinkler tries to land a right hook, but Labi slips the shot and counters with a nasty right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE TINKLER WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Tinkler quickly recovers. 
Labi digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Labi closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Labi ties up his opponent.  Labi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Labi and breaks the clinch.  
Tinkler pivots to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Labi is looking to close the distance.  Tinkler pivots to the side of his opponent.  Labi digs in a weighty left hook to his opponents ribs.  TINKLER IS HURT!  
Labi knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Labi lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND TINKLER IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Tinkler now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
