Chris Quier vs Vince Watson

Boxing Daily Report from the Accam Promotions promoted show at Waterbury Ramsay, Waterbury,  taking place on 10/09/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Connecticut Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Quier (23(11) - 5(1)) who hails from Bridgeport, USA and Vince Watson(7 - 9(1) - 1) from Stamford, USA.  Quier weighed in at 200 pounds, while Watson weighed in at 200 pounds and 14 ounces.    As Watson came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Paul Muncie, and the three ringside judges are Andy Swaney, Davie Maines and Kieran Gunion.  

Round 1: 

Quier advances into close range and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Quier is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Quier forces Watson to retreat onto the ropes.  Quier lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Quier advances into close range.  Watson throws a left uppercut, but Quier holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Quier pushes his forearm into Watson's face.  The referee warns Quier and breaks the clinch.  
Quier drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Watson walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Quier lands a cross to Watson's body.  
Watson pivots to the side of his opponent.  Quier hits home with a cross.  
Watson throws a left hook, but Quier ties up his opponent.  Quier hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Quier walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Quier quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Quier lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Quier attempts to land a right uppercut, but Watson blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Quier's body.  
Watson tries to land a jab, but Quier sidesteps and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Quier is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Watson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Quier lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Quier is looking to close the distance and digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.

Quier pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a solid right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Quier quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Watson throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Quier ties up his opponent.  Quier leans on his opponent using all his weight. Quier tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Watson's kidney. 
Quier gets on the inside and is on target with a stinging right hook to Watson's body.  
Quier lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Quier lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Quier forces Watson to retreat into the corner.  Quier lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Quier lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Watson steps away from his opponent.  Quier knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Quier crashes a big left uppercut to his opponents body.  WATSON IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Watson has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Quier digs in a right hook to Watson's ribs.  
Quier gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Quier lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Watson tries to step out of his opponents range.  Quier lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.

Quier closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Quier gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Watson's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Watson's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Quier lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS WATSON DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Watson has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Watson has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.  
Watson is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Quier lands a cross.
