Ximen Escalante vs Leeroy Brydon

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at USF Track and Field Stadium, Tampa,  taking place on 22/10/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ximen Escalante (9(2) - 0) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Leeroy Brydon(9 - 6 - 2) from Scottsdale, USA.  Both Escalante and Brydon weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mason Valcarcel, and the three ringside judges are Oliver Mirando, Robert Johnstone and Mike Forbes.  

Round 1: 

Escalante leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Brydon is on target with a cross.  Brydon tries to land a left hook, but Escalante slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Brydon sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Escalante is looking to keep his distance and hits home with a stiff jab.
