Paul Rhys vs Alex McClarnon

Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at The Apollo, Manchester,  taking place on 15/10/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Paul Rhys (20(16) - 3(2) - 1) who hails from Stoke, UK and Alex Big Lexo McClarnon(24(7) - 7(7)) from Dundee, UK.  Rhys weighed in at 234 pounds And 9 ounces, while McClarnon weighed in at 245 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Arran Roose, and the three ringside judges are Johnny Finn, Matthew McReynolds and Ewan Sprout.  

Round 1: 

Rhys lands a jab.

McClarnon gets on the inside and manouvers Rhys onto the ropes.  Rhys is on target with a BRUTAL left hook.  MCCLARNON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  McClarnon almost instantly gets his legs back. 
McClarnon lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Rhys manouvers McClarnon into the blue corner.  Rhys pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid left hook.  
Rhys digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rhys is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
McClarnon lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Rhys tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land an overhand right, but McClarnon slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rhys steps inside and drives a right hook into McClarnon's body.  
Rhys drives a firm right uppercut into McClarnon's body.  
Rhys walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Rhys lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.

McClarnon advances into close range and hits home with a firm right hook.  
McClarnon cuts off the ring, trapping Rhys on the ropes.  McClarnon attempts to land a jab, but Rhys sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Rhys hits home with a sharp cross.  
Rhys steps inside.  Rhys quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McClarnon is on target with a left hook.  
Rhys lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Rhys tries to keep the action at long range.  Rhys sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Rhys lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND MCCLARNON IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  McClarnon now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
McClarnon lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Rhys lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
McClarnon lands a cross.  
Rhys steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Rhys drives a stinging jab into his opponents face.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...McClarnon's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Rhys feints a jab, tricking McClarnon into launching a right hook counter.  Rhys is waiting for the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Rhys closes the distance.  McClarnon throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
McClarnon drives a solid jab into his opponents face.  
Rhys closes the distance and drives a left hook into McClarnon's body.  
Rhys lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND SENDS MCCLARNON SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Rhys is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Rhys crashes a mean left hook to McClarnon's body.  DOWN GOES MCCLARNON!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like McClarnon has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rhys dabs at his face checking for damage.  
McClarnon lands with a hard jab.

McClarnon lands a straight 1 - 2.  McClarnon throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Rhys gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head, DROPPING MCCLARNON TO THE CANVAS!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Rhys!
