Phil Spang vs Alberto Cappola

Boxing Daily Report from the Brenin Promotions promoted show at Simon Estes Riverfront Amphitheater, Des Moines,  taking place on 21/11/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Phil Spang (3(1) - 1(1)) who hails from Birmingham, UK and Alberto Cappola(2 - 2) from New York City, USA.  Both Spang and Cappola weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike James, and the three ringside judges are Vince Caven, Vincent Bathgate and Vincent Bathgate.  

Round 1: 

Spang gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Spang lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Cappola almost instantly recovers. 
Cappola pivots to the left of his opponent.  Cappola throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Cappola steps away from his opponent.  Spang stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Cappola attempts to land a jab, but Spang slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Spang lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Spang ties up his opponent.  Spang pushes his forearm into Cappola's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Spang to stop fouling.  
Spang is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Spang ties up his opponent.  Spang tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Cappola's kidney. 
Spang drives a stinging left hook into Cappola's liver.  
Spang lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Spang gets on the inside and walks Cappola down, trapping him in the corner.  Spang throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Spang holds on to his opponent.  Spang hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Spang digs in a sharp left hook to Cappola's body.  
Spang is on target with a powerful left hook to Cappola's body.  CAPPOLA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Cappola almost instantly recovers. 
Spang lands a left hook, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Spang lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Spang advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Spang clinches his opponent.  Spang leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Spang's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Spang gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Cappola's body.  
Spang lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Spang lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Spang lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cappola's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Cappola's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Cappola's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Some sustained pressure from Spang could be enough to finish Cappola!  Spang lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND CAPPOLA IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Spang lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body, AND DROPS CAPPOLA TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Cappola now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Spang gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Spang lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Spang drives a firm left hook into his opponents liver.

Spang senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Cappola and just needs the right shot.  Spang lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body, AND DROPS CAPPOLA!  He manages to get up at 4.  Cappola now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Cappola is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Spang slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Spang advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but Cappola slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Spang advances into close range and drives a potent left hook into his opponents ribs.  CAPPOLA IS HURT!  Cappola recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
