Hayden Meggett vs Joaquin Padron

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas,  taking place on 22/10/2044:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESPN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hayden Meggett (35(18) - 1(1)) who hails from Toronto, Canada and Joaquin Padron(43(12) - 22(21) - 1) from Mendoza, Argentina.  Both Meggett and Padron weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Will Cerezo, and the three ringside judges are Amon Gibson, Emanuel Pulido and Henry Weddell.  

Round 1: 

Padron gets on the inside.  Padron attempts to land a left hook, but Meggett slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Meggett is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land an overhand right, but Padron parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Padron lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Padron sidesteps to the left of his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a cross.

Meggett lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  Meggett tries to land a jab, but Padron slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Padron is looking to close the distance.  Meggett pivots from in front of his opponent.  Meggett attempts to land a left hook, but Padron slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Meggett is looking to keep his distance and attempts to land a jab, but Padron dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Meggett is on target with a stinging cross.  
Meggett hits the target with a hard jab.

Meggett pivots to the side of his opponent.  Meggett lands a cross.  Meggett tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Meggett tries to keep the action at long range and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Padron throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.

Meggett switches the action to the outside and tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Padron is looking to close the distance and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Meggett is looking to keep his distance.  Padron hits home with a cross.  Padron throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Meggett sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Meggett hits home with a sharp left uppercut.

Padron voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Meggett is whaling away with hooks, but Padron keeps his defence tight.

Meggett is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Padron tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a powerful left uppercut.  PADRON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Padron recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Meggett steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  Meggett attempts to land a cross, but Padron slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Padron lands a cross.  
Padron steps inside.  Meggett pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Padron's body.  
Padron steps away from his opponent.  Meggett sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Padron gets on the inside.  Meggett pivots to the right of his opponent.  Padron hits home with a left uppercut.  Padron attempts to land a left hook, but Meggett blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Meggett steps to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Padron blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Meggett quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a FIERCE right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE PADRON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Padron recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Meggett switches the action to the outside.  Meggett sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Some sustained pressure from Meggett could be enough to finish Padron!  Meggett lands a MASSIVE left uppercut.  PADRON HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Padron is looking to close the distance.  Meggett lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND PADRON IS DOWN!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Meggett!
