Aaron Garey vs Mike Owens

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Saskatchewan promoted show at John Shone Gym, Regina,  taking place on 21/10/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Canada-Saskatchewan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Aaron Garey (8 - 8(2)) who hails from Regina, Canada and Mike Owens(3 - 0) from Saskatoon, Canada.  Both Garey and Owens weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vincent Buchan, and the three ringside judges are Jacob Redhead, Mick Bellis and Julien Rodin.  

Round 1: 

Owens drives a left uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Owens lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Owens quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Owens quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Owens advances into close range and connects with a left uppercut.  
Owens hits home with a firm right uppercut.  
Owens pivots from in front of his opponent.  Owens lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Owens ties up his opponent.  Owens pushes his forearm into Garey's face.  The ref breaks Owens's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Garey wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Owens dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Owens digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Garey throws a left hook, but Owens holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Owens pushes his forearm into Garey's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Owens to stop fouling.  
Owens walks Garey onto the ropes.  Owens hits home with a right hook.  Owens ties up his opponent.  Owens uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Garey's kidney. 
Owens connects with a solid left hook.  
Owens lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Owens sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Garey steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Garey's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Garey's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
