Ciaran McCaig vs Mike Ryan

Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at The O2, Dublin,  taking place on 12/11/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Irish Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ciaran McCaig (30(21) - 6(4)) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Mike Ryan(22 - 10(2)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both McCaig and Ryan weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lee Taggart, and the three ringside judges are Lorcan Coleman, Eoghan Markey and Paul Healy.  

Round 1: 

McCaig lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McCaig gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut to Ryan's liver.  
McCaig quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
McCaig closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but Ryan blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
McCaig gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
McCaig lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
As Ryan tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McCaig dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to McCaig.  That has caused a slight cut  the right eye.  .
