Rashid Rasul vs Tariq Tarar

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Kwara State promoted show at Ifeanyi Isola Gym, Offa,  taking place on 12/11/2044:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Kwara State Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rashid Rasul (7 - 8(2) - 2) who hails from Ilorin, Nigeria and Tariq Tarar(23 - 10(1) - 2) from Ilorin, Nigeria.  Both Rasul and Tarar weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shehu Ikisikpo, and the three ringside judges are Kenzie Acquah, Akeem Nworah and Ikechukwu Bethel.  

Round 1: 

Tarar quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Tarar attempts to land a cross, but Rasul parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tarar is on target with a right hook.  
Rasul lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Rasul throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Tarar to the neutral corner.  He warns Rasul that he could be heading for a point deduction.  
Tarar lands a right hook.  
Tarar sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rasul lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Tarar lands with a sharp jab.  
Rasul digs in a right hook to Tarar's ribs.

Tarar is looking to close the distance.  Rasul lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Rasul has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
