Declan Craigen vs Ewan Brattain

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at TSB Bank Arena, Wellington,  taking place on 04/02/2045:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Oceania Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Declan Craigen (16(7) - 1(1)) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Ewan Brattain(31 - 16(9) - 3) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Both Craigen and Brattain weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Swanson, and the three ringside judges are Alen Ritchey, Oliver Murray and Mark Dew.  

Round 1: 

Craigen lands a spiteful jab.  
Craigen is looking to close the distance.  Craigen pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Craigen lands two right hook's to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Craigen steps inside.  Brattain connects with a right hook.  
Brattain is on target with a right hook.  
Craigen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a firm left uppercut.  
Brattain throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Craigen switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Craigen is on target with a right hook to Brattain's body.  
Craigen lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Craigen pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Craigen lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Craigen is on target with a sharp left hook to Brattain's ribs.  
Craigen switches the action to the outside.  Brattain connects with a cross.  
Brattain steps inside.  Craigen connects with a HUGE right hook.  BRATTAIN IS HURT!  Brattain quickly recovers. 
Craigen sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Brattain lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Brattain throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.  
Brattain lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Brattain sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Craigen is on target with a firm cross.  
Craigen feints a jab, and then connects with a sharp cross.  
Craigen is looking to close the distance.  Craigen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Brattain closes the distance.  Craigen hits home with a stinging left hook.  Craigen wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Brattain dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Brattain's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Brattain's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Craigen is on target with a stinging left hook to his opponents body.  
Craigen lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Craigen drives a firm right hook into Brattain's body.  
Craigen sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Brattain is on target with a right hook.  
Craigen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Craigen pivots to the right of his opponent.  Craigen throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Craigen sidesteps to the right of his opponent and slams a big right hook into Brattain's ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE BRATTAIN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Brattain recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Craigen forces Brattain to retreat onto the ropes.  Craigen pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Craigen pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Brattain lands a right hook.  
Craigen steps inside.  Brattain connects with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Brattain's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Brattain's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Brattain is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Craigen is on target with a SAVAGE cross.  BRATTAIN IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Craigen is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Craigen gets on the inside.  Brattain is on target with a left hook to Craigen's body.  
Craigen pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a sharp left uppercut.
