Niall Sheehy vs Aidan McIver

Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at Red Cow Moran Hotel, Dublin,  taking place on 16/12/2044:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Niall Sheehy (7(4) - 0) who hails from Dundalk, Ireland and Aidan McIver(17 - 8(1) - 4) from Dublin, Ireland.  Sheehy weighed in at 134 pounds and 11 ounces, while McIver weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Carl MacRae, and the three ringside judges are Paul Healy, Jason Farrell and Fionn Healy.  

Round 1: 

Sheehy steps inside and is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  MCIVER WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  McIver recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sheehy pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Sheehy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sheehy lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Sheehy clinches his opponent.  Sheehy pushes his forearm into McIver's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sheehy feints a cross, but McIver does not fall for it and lands with a cross.  
Sheehy closes the distance.  Sheehy sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  McIver throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Sheehy lands a left uppercut.  Sheehy clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Sheehy pushes his forearm into McIver's face.  The referee warns Sheehy and breaks the clinch.  
Sheehy advances into close range.  Sheehy lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Sheehy lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Sheehy ties up his opponent.  Sheehy leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Sheehy feints a jab, fooling McIver into throwing a cross counter.  Sheehy springs the trap, countering with  a left uppercut.  
Sheehy closes the distance.  Sheehy lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sheehy advances into close range.  Sheehy sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sheehy sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to McIver's body.  
Sheehy lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sheehy pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a firm right hook.  
Sheehy lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Sheehy manouvers McIver into a neutral corner.  Sheehy finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Sheehy advances into close range.  Sheehy pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
McIver lands a left hook.  
Sheehy pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a right hook to McIver's body.  
Sheehy connects with a stinging right hook.  
Sheehy hits home with a firm left hook.  
Sheehy lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sheehy walks McIver into a corner.  Sheehy connects with a left hook.  
Sheehy is looking to close the distance.  Sheehy pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.

Sheehy throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Sheehy hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Sheehy lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS MCIVER DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  McIver recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Sheehy pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Sheehy wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McIver dabs at his face checking for damage.  
McIver throws a left hook, but Sheehy holds on to his opponent.  Sheehy throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Sheehy leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sheehy pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Sheehy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sheehy manouvers McIver into a neutral corner.  Sheehy pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MCIVER WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
McIver could be stopped here, if Sheehy can find the right shot!  Sheehy lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, DROPPING MCIVER TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like McIver has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Sheehy sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Sheehy pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into McIver's body.  
Sheehy is looking to close the distance.  Sheehy pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sheehy advances into close range.  Sheehy pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a big left hook.  MCIVER HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Sheehy lands a jab to McIver's body.

Sheehy advances into close range.  Sheehy retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  McIver tries to land a right uppercut, but Sheehy slips the shot and counters with a HUGE right hook.  MCIVER IS HURT!  
Sheehy knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Sheehy connects with a mean left hook.  MCIVER HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT MCIVER IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Sheehy!
