Daniel Flanagan vs Ross Coghlan

Boxing Daily Report from the Iain Llewellyn promoted show at Markets Field, Limerick,  taking place on 20/01/2045:

Clearly Iain Llewellyn have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Daniel Flanagan (16(7) - 5(2)) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Ross Coghlan(8 - 14(3) - 1) from Dublin, Ireland.  Flanagan weighed in at 160 pounds, while Coghlan weighed in at 159 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Killian Corcoran, and the three ringside judges are Jason Ayrton, Kieran Mulloy and Sam Brody.  

Round 1: 

Flanagan is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Flanagan feints a right hook, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Flanagan lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Flanagan lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.

Coghlan manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Coghlan tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Coghlan advances into close range.  Flanagan pivots to the right of his opponent.  Flanagan hits home with a left hook.  Flanagan holds on to his opponent.  Flanagan pushes his forearm into Coghlan's face.  The ref breaks Flanagan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Flanagan drives a left uppercut into Coghlan's body.  
Flanagan steps to the outside and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Coghlan closes the distance.  Coghlan pivots from in front of his opponent.  Flanagan lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Coghlan manages to force Flanagan onto the ropes.  Flanagan hits home with a cross.  
Flanagan is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Flanagan is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a solid overhand right.  
Flanagan pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left uppercut.  
Coghlan walks Flanagan into the corner.  Coghlan sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Coghlan throws a left hook, but Flanagan ties up his opponent.  Coghlan leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Flanagan pushes his forearm into Coghlan's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Flanagan.  
Flanagan lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Flanagan switches the action to the outside and finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Flanagan tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Flanagan feints a left, and then drives a jab into his opponents body.

Coghlan closes the distance.  Flanagan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Coghlan throws a right hook, but Flanagan holds on to his opponent.  Flanagan tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Coghlan's kidney. Flanagan is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Flanagan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Flanagan tries to keep the action at long range.  Flanagan feints a left, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Flanagan is on target with a cross.  
Flanagan steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Coghlan is looking to close the distance.  Flanagan lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Flanagan tries to keep the action at long range.  Flanagan is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Flanagan lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND DROPS COGHLAN TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Flanagan is on target with a MASSIVE right uppercut.  COGHLAN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  Coghlan now seems to have his senses back.
