Eiji Fujita vs Takeshi Koizumi

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Japan National Stadium, Tokyo,  taking place on 14/01/2045:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Japan Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WOWOW, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Eiji Fujita (42(30) - 12(7) - 1) who hails from Yokohama, Japan and Takeshi Koizumi(21(3) - 9(1)) from Kyoto, Japan.  Both Fujita and Koizumi weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aki Fujii, and the three ringside judges are Hiroki Amaya, Hikaru Mikami and Ryo Shiroma.  

Round 1: 

Koizumi is looking to close the distance.  Koizumi digs in a right hook to Fujita's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Fujita dabs at his face checking for damage.
