James Melville vs Noah Hannay

Boxing Daily Report from the Yassa Promotions promoted show at Edmonton Heird, Edmonton,  taking place on 19/01/2045:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Melville (2 - 4) who hails from Calgary, Canada and Noah Hannay(11(9) - 3(3)) from Edmonton, Canada.  Both Melville and Hannay weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Sinton, and the three ringside judges are Oscar Lewis, Chris Crear and Glynn Lyne.  

Round 1: 

Hannay steps inside.  Hannay sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  As Melville tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Hannay dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Hannay is on target with a right hook.  
Hannay drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  
Hannay lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Hannay closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Hannay ties up his opponent.  Hannay leans on his opponent using all his weight. Hannay pushes his forearm into Melville's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hannay.  
Hannay lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Hannay lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Hannay holds on to his opponent.  Hannay uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Melville's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Melville recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hannay lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Hannay holds on to his opponent.  Hannay leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hannay tries to land a left hook, but Melville slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hannay gets on the inside and is on target with a solid right hook to Melville's ribs.  
Hannay hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Hannay lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Hannay lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  
Hannay lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Hannay clinches his opponent.  Hannay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hannay lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hannay lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Hannay lands a right hook.  
Hannay lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hannay drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Hannay manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Hannay digs in a right hook to Melville's body.  
Hannay lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Hannay hits home with a left hook.  
Hannay steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hannay lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Hannay lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  
Hannay drives a right uppercut into Melville's body.  
Hannay is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Hannay digs in a stinging left hook to his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Melville's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Melville's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Melville's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Hannay throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Hannay ties up his opponent.  Hannay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hannay lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Hannay lands two left hook's to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Melville recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hannay lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Melville steps inside.  Hannay lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Hannay lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Hannay knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Hannay lands a hurtful left hook.  MELVILLE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 7.  
Hannay connects with a big cross.  MELVILLE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Hannay lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MELVILLE DOWN!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Hannay!
