Dave Whigham vs Sam Much

Boxing Daily Report from the Skol Promotions promoted show at North Shore Pullar, North Shore,  taking place on 13/02/2045:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Whigham (4(2) - 3 - 2) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Sam Much(8 - 2 - 2) from North Shore, New Zealand.  Whigham weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces, while Much weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Opi Ngaikiha, and the three ringside judges are Kenzie Anderson, Chris Heretini and Corey Hopper.  

Round 1: 

Whigham is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Whigham is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Whigham finds the target with a jab.  
Whigham steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Whigham is on target with a left hook.  
Whigham lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Whigham manouvers Much onto the ropes.  Whigham lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Whigham lands a right uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Whigham pivots to the left of his opponent.  Much throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Much sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Whigham lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Whigham is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DROPS MUCH!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Whigham clinches his opponent.  Whigham tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Much behind the head. Whigham throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Whigham lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  It looks like Much has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Whigham is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Whigham is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  Whigham ties up his opponent.  Whigham is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Whigham drives a potent left hook into Much's liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE MUCH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Much quickly recovers. 
Whigham hits home with a left hook.  
Whigham advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Much's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Much's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Much's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Round 2: 

Whigham drives a right hook into Much's body.  As Whigham tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Much dabs at his face checking for damage.  Much has taken some damage there.  That has caused bad swelling  around the left eye.  
Whigham drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Much is looking to keep his distance and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Whigham lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Whigham is looking to close the distance.  Whigham sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Whigham lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Whigham advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Whigham is looking to close the distance and digs in a firm left hook to Much's body.  Whigham holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Whigham pushes his forearm into Much's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Much finds the target with a jab.

Whigham digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Much tries to step out of his opponents range.  Whigham feints a jab, tricking Much into countering with a right hook.  Whigham springs the trap, countering with  a left uppercut.

Whigham gets on the inside and walks Much down, trapping him in the corner.  Whigham lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Whigham digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents body.

Much steps to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook to Much's body.  
Whigham closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Whigham steps inside and lands a solid left hook.  
Much quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Whigham whips in a nasty left hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE MUCH WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Whigham is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Whigham lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS MUCH TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Much now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Whigham manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Whigham is on target with a solid left uppercut to Much's body.  MUCH WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Whigham holds on to his opponent.  Whigham pushes his forearm into Much's face.  The ref breaks Whigham's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Much quickly recovers.

Whigham throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Whigham clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Whigham pushes his forearm into Much's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Whigham to stop fouling.
