Thompson Sani vs Hope Hashidu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Oyo State promoted show at Ibadan Fares, Ibadan,  taking place on 28/02/2045:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Nigeria-Oyo State Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Thompson Sani (11 - 5(1)) who hails from Ibadan, Nigeria and Hope Hashidu(10(8) - 0) from Oyo, Nigeria.  Both Sani and Hashidu weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Asif Habibi, and the three ringside judges are Obafemi Aruna, Irfan Younan and Ifeanyi Lambo.  

Round 1: 

Hashidu steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Sani steps to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Hashidu gets on the inside and walks Sani down, trapping him on the ropes.  Hashidu drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Hashidu is on target with a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hashidu drives a sharp right uppercut into Sani's body.

Hashidu crashes a nasty right hook to his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE SANI WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sani quickly recovers.

Hashidu is on target with a left uppercut.  Hashidu ties up his opponent.  Hashidu leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Hashidu uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Sani behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hashidu.  
Hashidu closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Hashidu ties up his opponent.  Hashidu is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hashidu to stop fouling.  Sani recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hashidu closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Hashidu clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Hashidu pushes his forearm into Sani's face.  The referee warns Hashidu and breaks the clinch.  
Sani tries to keep the action at long range.  Hashidu hits home with a cross.  
Hashidu cuts off the ring, trapping Sani in the corner.  Hashidu connects with a firm right hook.  Hashidu holds on to his opponent.  Hashidu leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hashidu gets on the inside and digs in a firm left hook to Sani's ribs.  
Sani steps to the outside.  Hashidu strikes his opponents body with a firm cross.  
Hashidu advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to Sani's body.  Hashidu holds on to his opponent.  Hashidu is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Hashidu's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sani switches the action to the outside.  Hashidu lands a stinging jab.  
Hashidu gets on the inside and manouvers Sani into the corner.  Hashidu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hashidu connects with a solid right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sani's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Sani's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Hashidu throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Hashidu lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Hashidu clinches his opponent.  Hashidu hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hashidu lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Hashidu lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Hashidu gets on the inside.  Sani could be stopped here, if Hashidu can find the right shot!  Hashidu lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES SANI!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Hashidu senses Sani is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Hashidu crashes a spiteful left hook to his opponents ribs.  SANI HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Sani has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Sani steps away from his opponent.  Hashidu sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a stinging cross.  
Hashidu gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  Hashidu clinches his opponent.  Hashidu leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sani tries to keep the action at long range.  Hashidu lands a solid overhand right.  
Sani connects with an overhand right.  
Sani attempts to land a right hook, but Hashidu sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Hashidu gets on the inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Sani almost instantly recovers. 
Hashidu lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Hashidu knows Sani is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Hashidu is on target with a weighty left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  SANI IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Hashidu lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body, AND SANI IS KNOCKED DOWN!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Sani can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Hashidu!
