Niall Sheehy vs Lee McGill

Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 22/04/2045:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Niall Sheehy (9(6) - 0) who hails from Dundalk, Ireland and Lee McGill(6 - 8(2)) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Sheehy and McGill weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brandon Madigan, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Dermott, Karl Finnegan and Ronan Murphy.  

Round 1: 

Sheehy connects with a stinging cross.  
McGill contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Sheehy lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Sheehy closes the distance and digs in a sharp right hook to McGill's body.

Sheehy finds the target with a jab.  
Sheehy advances into close range and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head.  Sheehy clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sheehy pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sheehy is on target with a stinging left hook.  Sheehy clinches his opponent.  Sheehy is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sheehy's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McGill's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  McGill's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  McGill's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
