Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at Grand Hall,Guild Hall, Preston,  taking place on 08/04/2045:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Peter Vaughan (6 - 0) who hails from Reading, UK and Frank McAskill(3 - 3(1) - 1) from London, UK.  Both Vaughan and McAskill weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tony Ferris, and the three ringside judges are David Duffy, Glynn James and Adam Hesson.  

Round 1: 

Vaughan advances into close range and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Vaughan holds on to his opponent.  Vaughan pushes his forearm into McAskill's face.  The ref breaks Vaughan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
