Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at Grand Hall,Guild Hall, Preston,  taking place on 08/04/2045:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Bart Quirke (2(1) - 0) who hails from Plymouth, UK and Brin MacCubbin(4 - 4(2) - 1) from London, UK.  Both Quirke and MacCubbin weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Duffy, and the three ringside judges are Glynn James, Tony Ferris and Adam Hesson.  

Round 1: 

Quirke lands a jab.  
Quirke closes the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Quirke ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Quirke pushes his forearm into MacCubbin's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Quirke pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a firm cross.  
MacCubbin is looking to keep his distance.  Quirke lands a jab, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Quirke lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
MacCubbin circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Quirke attempts to land a cross, but MacCubbin slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

Quirke drives a firm left hook into MacCubbin's body.  Quirke tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook to Quirke's ribs.  
Quirke is on target with a left uppercut.  
Quirke gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Quirke pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Quirke lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Quirke lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Quirke lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Quirke closes the distance.  Quirke sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
MacCubbin steps away from his opponent.  Quirke connects with a cross.  
Quirke advances into close range.  Quirke lands two right hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Quirke manouvers MacCubbin onto the ropes.  Quirke lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Quirke is looking to close the distance.  Quirke quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into MacCubbin's body.  
Quirke lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Quirke lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Quirke clinches his opponent.  Quirke leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...MacCubbin's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  MacCubbin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  MacCubbin's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Quirke pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Quirke throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Quirke ties up his opponent.  Quirke leans on his opponent using all his weight. Quirke hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Quirke manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Quirke digs in a right hook to MacCubbin's body.  
Quirke lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Quirke closes the distance.  Quirke sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Quirke advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Quirke lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Quirke manages to force MacCubbin onto the ropes.  Quirke lands a right hook to the body followed by two right uppercut's to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
MacCubbin steps to the outside.  The right shot from Quirke could be enough to force the stoppage!  Quirke is on target with a FIERCE left hook.  MACCUBBIN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Quirke lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a cross to the head.  The winner by KO is Quirke!
