Matthew McKay vs Ben Cavan

Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 22/04/2045:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Matthew McKay (4(2) - 1) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Ben Cavan(6 - 5(1) - 1) from Waterford, Ireland.  Both McKay and Cavan weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Karl Finnegan, and the three ringside judges are Brandon Madigan, Joshua Dermott and Ronan Murphy.  

Round 1: 

Cavan is looking to close the distance.  McKay drives a firm left hook into his opponents liver.

McKay tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cavan steps inside.  McKay lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Cavan gets on the inside.  McKay pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a firm right hook.  
Cavan forces McKay to retreat onto the ropes.  McKay lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Cavan gets on the inside.  McKay lands a left hook.  
Cavan is looking to close the distance.  McKay lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

McKay connects with a left hook.  
McKay tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McKay lands an overhand right.  
McKay is on target with a jab.  
McKay steps away from his opponent and connects with a sharp overhand right.  
McKay lands with a stinging jab.  
McKay is looking to keep his distance and drives a jab into Cavan's body.  
McKay feints a left, and then finds the target with a jab.  
McKay tries to step out of his opponents range.  McKay feints a left, and then lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
McKay DETONATES a mean right uppercut on his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE CAVAN WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
McKay steps to the outside.  McKay is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  McKay lands a FIERCE cross.  CAVAN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Cavan now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
McKay feints a cross, but Cavan is not fooled and is on target with a left hook.  
McKay strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
McKay lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS CAVAN DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is McKay!
