Blake Whalen vs Aidan McIver

Boxing Daily Report from the Mzima Promotions promoted show at Drogheda Lane, Drogheda,  taking place on 26/04/2045:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Leinster Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Blake Whalen (4(3) - 1) who hails from Tallaght, Ireland and Aidan McIver(17 - 9(2) - 4) from Dublin, Ireland.  Whalen weighed in at 134 pounds and 9 ounces, while McIver weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jason Orman, and the three ringside judges are Thomas Burke, Paul Healy and Clinton MacAdam.

McIver steps away from his opponent and tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.
