Leopold Kares vs Dave Pottinger

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at California Memorial Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 03/06/2045:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the North American Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on HBO, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Leopold Kares (34(28) - 10(1) - 1) who hails from New York City, USA and Dave Pottinger(31(3) - 19(4) - 1) from Olathe, USA.  Kares weighed in at 175 pounds, while Pottinger weighed in at 174 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Robert Halbert, and the three ringside judges are Juan Espin, Clinton Proffitt and Mark Baldwin.  

Round 1: 

Kares tries to keep the action at long range and lands with a hard jab.  Kares tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.

Pottinger throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Kares pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a firm cross.  
Pottinger advances into close range.  Kares lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pottinger throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kares steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Pottinger is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Pottinger is on target with a left hook.  Kares clinches his opponent.  Kares leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pottinger hits home with a left hook.  
Pottinger gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kares is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Kares steps to the outside and lands a hard jab.

Kares tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.

Pottinger advances into close range and throws a left hook, but Kares clinches his opponent.  Pottinger pushes his forearm into Kares's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pottinger to stop fouling.

Kares lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Kares attempts to land an overhand left, but Pottinger blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Pottinger attempts to land a cross, but Kares slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut to Pottinger's body.

Kares lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head, DROPPING POTTINGER TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Pottinger cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Kares!
