Mark Torrens vs Dante Piglionica

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at AAMI Park, Melbourne,  taking place on 24/06/2045:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mark Torrens (10(9) - 3(1)) who hails from Adelaide, Australia and Dante Piglionica(11(4) - 6(6)) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Torrens and Piglionica weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Elias, and the three ringside judges are Blake Lapshin, John Kissick and Ian Espy.  

Round 1: 

Piglionica gets on the inside.  Torrens lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Piglionica lands a right hook.  Piglionica attempts to land a right hook, but Torrens blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Piglionica manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Piglionica hits home with a firm right hook.

Piglionica manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Piglionica attempts to land a left hook, but Torrens sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Piglionica throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Torrens drives a firm left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Piglionica pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Torrens attempts to land a left uppercut, but Piglionica blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Torrens strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Torrens lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Piglionica steps inside and connects with a solid right hook.  
Piglionica connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Piglionica tries to land a cross, but Torrens slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Piglionica is on target with a cross.  
Torrens steps to the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Piglionica quickly recovers. 
Torrens lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Piglionica is looking to close the distance.  Torrens lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Piglionica tries to land a right hook, but Torrens sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Piglionica's liver.  
Torrens tries to keep the action at long range and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Piglionica advances into close range and forces Torrens to retreat onto the ropes.  Piglionica quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook.
