Dedrick Sanft vs Baldovino Gepner

Boxing Daily Report from the Junkyard Promotions promoted show at Nuremberg Acuff, Nuremberg,  taking place on 22/06/2045:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Germany-Bavaria Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dedrick Sanft (2 - 16 - 2) who hails from Munich, Germany and Baldovino Gepner(3(1) - 0) from Augsburg, Germany.  Both Sanft and Gepner weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Archimbald Marzen, and the three ringside judges are Bertram Stockner, Balwin Gelhaus and Albertus Mehlhorn.  

Round 1: 

Gepner steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Gepner lands with a stinging jab.  
Gepner closes the distance.  Sanft throws a left hook, but Gepner holds on to his opponent.  Gepner is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Gepner.  
Gepner closes the distance.  Sanft sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Sanft throws a left uppercut, but Gepner clinches his opponent.  Gepner leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Gepner's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gepner lands two left hook's to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Gepner is on target with a right hook to Sanft's body.  
Gepner sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Sanft's body.  
Gepner manouvers Sanft into the red corner.  Gepner digs in a firm left hook to Sanft's body.  
Gepner lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Sanft throws a right hook, but Gepner ties up his opponent.  Gepner hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks Gepner's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gepner is looking to close the distance.  Gepner quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Sanft steps to the outside.  Gepner feints a cross, and then is on target with a cross.  
Gepner manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Gepner pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Gepner tries to step out of his opponents range.  Gepner sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Sanft is on target with an overhand left.  
Gepner is looking to close the distance.  Gepner pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Gepner backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Sanft is whaling away with hooks, but Gepner keeps his defence tight.  
Gepner is on target with a sharp cross.  
Gepner lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gepner is on target with a firm right hook to Sanft's body.  
Gepner lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Sanft throws a left uppercut, but Gepner ties up his opponent.  Gepner leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Gepner's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sanft's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Sanft's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Sanft's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

As Sanft tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gepner dabs at his face checking for damage.

Sanft attempts to land a left hook, but Gepner parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gepner lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sanft is looking to close the distance.  Gepner drives a stinging left uppercut into Sanft's body.  
Gepner lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.

Gepner senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Sanft and just needs the right shot.  Gepner lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING SANFT DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Gepner!
