Goro Higashi vs Ichiro Kono

Boxing Daily Report from the Lampi Promotions promoted show at Nao Imai Gym, Hakodate,  taking place on 28/06/2045:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hokkaido Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Goro Higashi (9 - 11(1) - 4) who hails from Sapporo, Japan and Ichiro Kono(14 - 7(1) - 1) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Higashi and Kono weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yutaka Omura, and the three ringside judges are Michi Kaneko, Eiji Suzuki and Raiden Sera.  

Round 1: 

Kono pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Kono drives a left uppercut into Higashi's liver.
