Juan Acob vs Santiago Macalam

Boxing Daily Report from the Felix Orcales promoted show at Dasmarinas Augusto, Dasmarinas,  taking place on 30/06/2045:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Cavite Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Acob (9(7) - 0) who hails from Dasmarinas, Philippines and Santiago Macalam(6 - 0 - 1) from Bacoor, Philippines.  Acob weighed in at 112 pounds, while Macalam weighed in at 112 pounds and 9 ounces.    As Macalam came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Ellis Suguitan, and the three ringside judges are Cortez Aclan, Joey Dato and Santiago Taguinod.  

Round 1: 

Acob lands an overhand right.  
Acob lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Macalam tries to land a cross, but Acob slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Macalam connects with a right hook.  
Macalam throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Acob is looking to keep his distance.  Macalam connects with a cross.  
Acob feints a jab, and then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Acob tries to step out of his opponents range.  Acob is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Acob connects with a FEROCIOUS right hook.  MACALAM IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 7.  Macalam now seems to have his senses back.  
Macalam closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Macalam cuts off the ring, trapping Acob on the ropes.  Acob lands a cross to the head, a jab to the head and a cross to the body.  
Macalam gets on the inside and connects with a left uppercut.  Macalam attempts to land a right uppercut, but Acob dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Acob drives a right hook into Macalam's body.  
Acob tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a jab.  
Macalam hits home with a cross.  
Macalam pivots to the right of his opponent.  Macalam throws a left uppercut, but Acob ties up his opponent.  Acob is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Acob to stop fouling.  
Macalam closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Acob steps to the outside.  Acob drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Macalam throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Acob feints a left hook, and then connects with a cross.  
Macalam gets on the inside.  Acob pivots from in front of his opponent.  Acob connects with a left uppercut.  Acob clinches his opponent.  Macalam is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Macalam is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Acob switches the action to the outside and lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head, AND DROPS MACALAM!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Macalam recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Macalam's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Macalam advances into close range and tries to land a right uppercut, but Acob blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Macalam's body.  
Acob tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Macalam attempts to land a jab, but Acob slips the shot and counters with a left hook to Macalam's ribs.  
Acob lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Macalam throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a WICKED left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACALAM WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Macalam quickly recovers. 
Acob is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Acob lands a stinging cross.  
Acob is on target with a sharp overhand right.  
Macalam steps inside and is on target with a left hook.  
Acob attempts to land a jab, but Macalam parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Acob is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Macalam advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  
Macalam manouvers Acob onto the ropes.  Acob slams a big left uppercut into Macalam's liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACALAM WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Macalam is looking to keep his distance.  Acob is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Acob lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING MACALAM DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  It looks like Macalam has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Acob quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Macalam closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a mean right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACALAM WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Acob tries to step out of his opponents range.  Acob senses Macalam is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Acob connects with a FIERCE cross.  MACALAM HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Macalam is looking to close the distance.  Acob is on target with a FIERCE left hook.  MACALAM HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Acob!
