Bart Quirke vs Rhod Moloney

Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at Ice Arena, Cardiff,  taking place on 15/06/2045:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Dave, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Bart Quirke (4(2) - 0) who hails from Plymouth, UK and Rhod Moloney(8 - 10(1) - 1) from Cardiff, UK.  Both Quirke and Moloney weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Carrick, and the three ringside judges are Clinton Birney, Terry Lyons and Inigo Rury.  

Round 1: 

Moloney closes the distance.  Moloney quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Moloney throws a right uppercut, but Quirke clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Quirke pushes his forearm into Moloney's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Quirke about fouling.  
Quirke sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Quirke advances into close range.  Quirke pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Quirke is on target with a jab.  
Quirke connects with a cross.  
Quirke steps inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Quirke quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Moloney throws a left hook, but Quirke clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Quirke pushes his forearm into Moloney's face.  The referee warns Quirke and breaks the clinch.  
Quirke steps inside.  Quirke sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Quirke throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Quirke holds on to his opponent.  Quirke is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Quirke's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Moloney pivots from in front of his opponent.  Moloney throws a left hook, but Quirke ties up his opponent.  Quirke tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Moloney's kidney. The referee warns Quirke and breaks the clinch.  
Moloney advances into close range.  Quirke connects with a left hook.  Quirke holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Moloney pushes his forearm into Quirke's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Moloney to stop fouling.  
Quirke is on target with a cross.  
Quirke steps inside and digs in a sharp left hook to Moloney's liver.  
Quirke lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Quirke manages to force Moloney into the corner.  Quirke sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Moloney throws a right hook, but Quirke holds on to his opponent.  Quirke leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Moloney tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Quirke lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Quirke is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Quirke quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a solid right hook.  
Quirke hits home with a firm left hook.  
Quirke is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Quirke lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  Quirke tries to land a cross, but Moloney blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Quirke closes the distance.  Quirke pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Quirke lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Quirke connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Moloney's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Moloney's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Moloney's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Quirke sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Moloney tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Quirke pivots from in front of his opponent.  Moloney tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Quirke pivots to the side of his opponent.  Quirke lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Quirke clinches his opponent.  Quirke tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Moloney behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Quirke sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Quirke lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Quirke sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  Quirke wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Moloney dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Quirke sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Quirke lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Quirke clinches his opponent.  Moloney leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Quirke waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Moloney throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Quirke advances into close range and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Quirke pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a sharp cross.  
Moloney drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Quirke snaps his opponents head back with a solid jab.

Quirke lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Moloney recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Quirke closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Quirke pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Quirke switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Quirke advances into close range and lands a nasty left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE MOLONEY WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Quirke attempts to land a left hook, but Moloney blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Quirke senses Moloney is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Quirke lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MOLONEY!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Quirke!
