Moubarak Bensghir vs Gus Carruthers

Boxing Daily Report from the Jaromir Dobroniecki promoted show at JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse,  taking place on 01/08/2045:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Moubarak Bensghir (7(5) - 0) who hails from Errachidia, Morocco and Gus Carruthers(22(6) - 4(2)) from Miami, USA.  Bensghir weighed in at 140 pounds, while Carruthers weighed in at 139 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Richard Sateriale, and the three ringside judges are Gianni Cossutta, Lee Gladstone and Mark Ashley.  

Round 1: 

Bensghir lands with a spiteful jab.

Carruthers is looking to keep his distance.  Carruthers sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Carruthers tries to land a jab, but Bensghir slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Carruthers sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bensghir lands with a stiff jab.  
Carruthers lands a jab.  
Bensghir steps away from his opponent and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

Carruthers attempts to land a cross, but Bensghir slips the shot and counters with a big left hook.  CARRUTHERS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Carruthers recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Bensghir is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands with a solid jab.  Bensghir attempts to land a jab, but Carruthers dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Carruthers sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Bensghir lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.

The right shot from Bensghir could be enough to force the stoppage!  Bensghir lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He continues the combination and lands two left uppercuts followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bensghir lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Carruthers is not able to stop any of these shots...he looks in trouble...the ref steps in and stops the action!  He says its over!  The winner by TKO is Bensghir!
