Shamus Coughlan vs Boyce Carpeaux

Boxing Daily Report from the Jaromir Dobroniecki promoted show at De Montfort Hall, Leicester,  taking place on 22/08/2045:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Shamus Coughlan (3(3) - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Boyce Carpeaux(14 - 7(1) - 1) from Rennes, France.  Coughlan weighed in at 237 pounds and 14 ounces, while Carpeaux weighed in at 217 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Robert Llewellyn, and the three ringside judges are Kieran Saunders, Aftab Bilal and Chris MacGibbon.  

Round 1: 

Coughlan pivots from in front of his opponent.  Coughlan lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Coughlan ties up his opponent. Carpeaux lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Coughlan lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Coughlan advances into close range.  Coughlan pivots to the left of his opponent.  Coughlan throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Coughlan holds on to his opponent.  Coughlan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Coughlan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Carpeaux behind the head. 
Coughlan hits home with a right uppercut.  As Coughlan tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Carpeaux dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Carpeaux.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Coughlan digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Coughlan connects with a sharp left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Carpeaux has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  The foul has worsened the damage  around the right eye.
