Seamus Burke vs Niall Lannon

Boxing Daily Report from the PP Promotions promoted show at Crumlin Boxing Club, Dublin,  taking place on 15/09/2045:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Seamus Burke (7(4) - 0) who hails from Belfast, UK and Niall Lannon(3 - 8(2) - 2) from Waterford, Ireland.  Burke weighed in at 140 pounds, while Lannon weighed in at 139 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bradley MacGinnis, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Rafferty, Ronan Murphy and Thomas Gallagher.  

Round 1: 

Burke sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a jab to his opponents head.  
Burke is looking to close the distance and drives a solid left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Burke gets on the inside.  Lannon throws a right hook, but Burke holds on to his opponent.  Burke pushes his forearm into Lannon's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Burke manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Burke drives a right uppercut into Lannon's body.  Burke clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Burke pushes his forearm into Lannon's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Burke closes the distance and drives a sharp right hook into Lannon's body.  Burke holds on to his opponent.  Burke leans on his opponent using all his weight. Burke pushes his forearm into Lannon's face.  The ref breaks Burke's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Lannon steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Burke lands a cross.  Burke throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

As Lannon tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Burke dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Burke gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Burke clinches his opponent.  Burke leans on his opponent using all his weight. Burke tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lannon behind the head. The referee warns Burke and breaks the clinch.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lannon's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Lannon's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Lannon is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Burke lands a sharp cross.  
Burke is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Burke steps inside and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Lannon is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Burke lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Burke closes the distance and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Burke feints a cross, tricking Lannon into countering with a right uppercut.  Burke is waiting for the shot and counters with a SAVAGE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE LANNON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Lannon almost instantly gets his legs back.
