David Harper vs Mark Duke

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Texas promoted show at Fairmont Hotel, Dallas,  taking place on 06/10/2045:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Texas Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Harper (55(18) - 5(2)) who hails from Houston, USA and Mark Duke(2 - 10(2) - 1) from Houston, USA.  Harper weighed in at 108 pounds, while Duke weighed in at 107 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Johnny Cornejo, and the three ringside judges are Rob Smith, Amon East and Spencer Aurelio.  

Round 1: 

Harper steps inside.  Harper pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Harper pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Harper closes the distance.  Duke retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Harper hits home with a right hook.  Harper throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Harper sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Harper lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Harper clinches his opponent.  Harper uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Duke's kidney. Harper is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Duke pushes his forearm into Harper's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Duke.  
Harper feints a left, and then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Harper lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Harper drives a firm left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Harper pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into Duke's ribs.  
Harper tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  Harper throws an overhand right, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Harper advances into close range.  Harper pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Harper lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Duke is looking to keep his distance.  Harper sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Harper gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Duke attempts to land a left hook, but Harper dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Harper is on target with a cross.  
Harper closes the distance.  Harper sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Duke steps to the outside.  Harper connects with a sharp cross.  
Harper gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Harper pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Harper quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Harper pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook to Duke's body.  
Duke tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Harper is looking to keep his distance.  Harper feints a left, and then lands three consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Duke's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Duke's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Duke tries to step out of his opponents range.  Harper lands a cross.  
Harper steps inside.  Harper pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Duke quickly recovers. 
Harper pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Harper is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Harper feints a cross, and then hits home with a cross.  
Duke hits home with a left uppercut.

Harper lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Duke recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Harper closes the distance and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Harper quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Harper throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Harper is looking to close the distance.  Harper pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Duke recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Harper connects with a cross.  
Harper advances into close range and drives a telling right hook into Duke's body.  DUKE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Harper is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Harper is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Harper is on target with a forceful right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  DUKE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like Duke has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
