John Morton vs Sammy Mollison

Boxing Daily Report from the Jaromir Dobroniecki promoted show at Roseland Ballroom, New York City,  taking place on 04/11/2045:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are John Crawler Morton (16(13) - 0) who hails from Columbus, USA and Sammy Mollison(21(16) - 2 - 1) from Tempe, USA.  Both Morton and Mollison weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gianni Cossutta, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Moffitt, Ben Hopkins and David Haraldson.

Morton manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Mollison is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mollison dabs at his face checking for damage.  Mollison has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Mollison throws a right hook, but Morton clinches his opponent.  Morton leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Mollison hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Mollison throws a right hook, but Morton ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mollison pushes his forearm into Morton's face.  The ref breaks Morton's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mollison's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Mollison's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
