John Bateman vs Michael Entwistle

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-California promoted show at San Diego Mallen, San Diego,  taking place on 03/12/2045:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-California Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Bateman (10 - 16 - 1) who hails from Los Angeles, USA and Michael myers Entwistle(38(17) - 0) from Fontana, USA.  Both Bateman and Entwistle weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dillon Downey, and the three ringside judges are Dominic Owen, Max Pont and Louis Hemming.  

Round 1: 

Entwistle drives a sharp left uppercut into his opponents liver.  Entwistle ties up his opponent.  Entwistle pushes his forearm into Bateman's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Entwistle about fouling.  
Entwistle is on target with a solid left uppercut.  
Entwistle lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Entwistle holds on to his opponent.  Entwistle tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Bateman behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Entwistle switches the action to the outside.  Bateman lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Entwistle advances into close range and digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Bateman is looking to close the distance.  Bateman sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Entwistle digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  Entwistle clinches his opponent.  Entwistle throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Entwistle.

As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bateman dabs at his face checking for damage.
